In a strategic collaboration between The Capital Group Limited and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCO), the two-day training program was held on April 3–4, 2025. The session, hosted at the Capital Group Training Centre in Accra, focused on equipping the managers with critical managerial competencies such as emotional intelligence, communication, decision-making, and delegation. Led by facilitators Mr. Samuel L. Adetola and Mr. Prince Awonayame Anankani, the workshop sought to align the leadership capabilities of participants with the dynamic expectations of modern organizational performance and people management.

Participant feedback demonstrated a high level of satisfaction with the training. Participants expressed their overall satisfaction with the training and confirmed they would recommend the course to colleagues. The facilitators received commendations for their rapport, professionalism, and structured delivery. Course content, time balance, and relevance were also rated highly, indicating strong alignment between the training objectives and the participants’ practical needs. Most participants appreciated modules like time management, emotional intelligence, and the art of communication, emphasizing their direct applicability to their roles.

Beyond immediate feedback, the training revealed future capacity-building interests among participants, who expressed a desire for follow-up programs in coaching, performance management, and utility management. The open-ended responses also reflected a sense of value and engagement, with attendees describing the training as insightful, educative, and among the most engaging they had experienced. This case underscores the critical role of well-structured, contextually relevant management training in not only addressing current leadership challenges but also in building momentum for continuous professional development.
