Business Loan Origination Workshop

The Capital Group organized a 5 day Business Loan Origination workshop for 18 members of staff of Agricultural Development Bank, ADB. The programme, which was the sixth of its kind held for ADB this year, was held from 25th - 29th July at Mensvic Hotel and aimed at raising the awareness of branch managers, credit officers and credit analysts to international best practices of business loan origination.

The course covered modules such as Financial Analysis (Financial and Non-Financials), Standard Credit Procedures, Credit Fraud Detection and Prevention, and Credit Report Writing. The practical activities and presentations that were included in the programme gave participants hands on experience with the material that was covered during the sessions.

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Sammy Adetola, CEO of the Capital Group; Mr. Patrick Acheampong, Founder/Managing Director of The Rising Sun Montessori Schools; and Mr. Robert Darko, Head of Corporate and Specialized Credits at ADB.

At the end of the  six workshops conducted, the general view of participants attest that the programmes were relevant to their day-to-day operations.
